A toy camera is a camera that is often made to be as cheap and simple. They’re usually made of all plastic, have a plastic lens, have a single shutter speed leaf shutter and a fixed aperture.

Toy cameras exist to be imperfect… they allow the photographer to create one-of-a-kind artwork that is truly original, which sets it apart from typical photographic art. The “Happy Accidents” created within a toy camera give each image a unique and very personal stamp of creativity.

This is a two hour class, that includes a lesson on camera functions, a photo walk where you will capture a roll of film, and a contact sheet that will be sent the week after the workshop, with possibility of further individual image scans.
