Show Us Some Love Show 2011

This show consists of images given with love, donated prints by many talented photographers from around the country and Astoria.

Chelsea and Michael Granger opened LightBox Photographic in June of 2009 to provide a center for the promotion of creative and alternative photography on the North Coast of Oregon. The goal was to create a venue for the display of fine art photography, where photographic artists can share their vision, and inspire other photographers and individuals. In the 20 months since opening, over 150 photographers from around the United States and the world have shown their work and over 1000 prints have been displayed on the walls of the gallery. LightBox put out a call to all the photographers that have shown here to be part of the Show Us Some Love Show 2011. About 50 Photographers showed their overwhelming support by donating prints for this show. LightBox will pick 30 of the images to be displayed on the walls of the gallery, the remaining matted prints will be available from print stands. All images will be for sale in a Silent Auction, that will start on the opening night, and continue until the closing of the auction on March 5th. All prints will be available at a low Buy It Now price on opening night. This is a great opportunity to purchase high quality photographic prints at lower prices and to help keep LightBox part of the Astoria art scene.

The quality of work included in this show is superb. We have received all types of mediums, from platinum prints to wet plates,
masterful silver gelatin and very nice pigment inkjet prints. Everything from toy camera shots, pinhole, large format film, studio shots, and other refined film and digital images. All of them making an amazing group of work with incredible diversity and talent. Even a Ruth Bernhard original and a Robert Adams special edition set.
