Platinum Print Festival & Alternative Process Exhibit
LightBox Photographic Gallery presents The Platinum Print Festival, running from August 14th through October 6th, 2010.
Platinum printing is regarded as one of the most beautiful and permanent of photographic processes, with rich warm tones and an expanded tonal scale. The show features new platinum palladium prints by Ray Bidegain, who will present landscape photographs from Scotland, as well as a current selection of nudes. Ray serves as juror for the Platinum Print Festival group show, selecting work from other platinum printers from around the country for exhibition in the show.

ALTERNATIVE PROCESS EXHIBIT
Showing in the gallery along with the Platinum Print Festival will be a selection of alternative process works, including wet plate collodion, gum bichromate, kallitypes, salt prints and lith prints. Photographers included in the Alternative Process Exhibit include:
