“Scenes from the Park”
For five years I lived in a mobile home park in Palm Springs, California. I grew curious about others who lived in my park and imagined what their life stories might be like. During this last year, I created images that only hint at these personal stories of imaginary events, all made during the “blue hour” at dusk, when we can easily transition into dreamlike scenarios of our own making. There is both stillness and drama at this time of day, and the Sou’Wester Lodge in Seaview, Washington, with its vintage-era trailers, was an ideal place to create the timeless feel I was looking for.
