I am a professional wildlife biologist with a lifelong love of photography. The arrival of LightBox to Astoria has allowed me become engaged with fine art photography again, after loosing some interest in the digital age. It is a welcome change to get back into the darkroom, be inspired by the amazing images that move through the gallery, and be associated with this special group of creative people. Seeing the results of that personal vision unfold in the darkroom brings the magic of photography to me like no computer session can. I am grateful to Michael and Chelsea for raising the bar on photography in Astoria and for all of the encouragement they provide to our group.
