Laura Kurtenbach

Laura Kurtenbach is an American artist, photographer and educator. Laura has worked in the photography industry professionally for over 20 years and has over a decades worth of teaching experience in a variety of settings including: Newspace Center for Photography Portland, Northwestern Illinois University Evanston, Wright City Collage of Chicago, and Columbia Collage Chicago, with lectures on her work at Newspace and Loyola University Chicago. She is currently an adjunct professor of photography at the Academy of Art University, San Francisco. She has an established exhibition record for her fine art, photographic work both locally and nationally, some selective venues include: The International Museum of Surgical Science Chicago, IL, Alan B Dow Museum of Art and Science, Midland, MI, 79 Gallery, San Francisco, CA, Viscosity Seattle, WA , FM Photo Studio St. Louis, MO, Lightbox Gallery, Astoria, OR, The Projection Museum, Verum Ultimum Gallery, Black Box Gallery, Newspace Center for Photography, Portland, OR and many others. Laura holds an MFA in Photography from the Academy of Art University, San Francisco and a BA in Photography/Fine Art from Columbia College, Chicago. She is currently based in Portland, OR and exhibits her fine art, photographic work both locally and nationally.
