Friderike Heuer
My work is concerned with issues of social justice, politics and the environment. I am creating and using photomontages to bring attention to questions around these issues, both in a historical context and within our own time. I have shown my work in various solo and group shows around the Northwest and in Europe where I grew up. My most recent series have been concerned with the Syrian refugee crisis and the effects of global warming. My montages mix straight photography with computerized painting and are usually printed on German Etching Paper to enhance the painterly quality. For more details I can be reached at heuer@reed.edu
