Craig Alan Huber

My vision strives to mix abstraction with reality in a way that will compel the viewer to evaluate the image at face value as well as pause to explore deeper meanings. The natural world that surrounds us plays a key role. In some views I capture the intricate elegance nature alone displays. In other views, when a human-made object is included, I endeavor to capture the grace of the object and its harmony with its natural environs. I work primarily with large format view cameras ranging from 4x5 to 11x14. A view camera obliges a methodical working process, and offers the ultimate in composition flexibility. Working in a traditional wet darkroom with wonderfully large negatives, I hand craft prints in silver or platinum/palladium, depending on the 'look' best suiting each image. These images are available as either silver or platinum/palladium prints, depending on the particular image. To see a wider set of images and further information, please visit my website.
