This exhibit will be juried by local artist, and Member of The Guild at LightBox, Jody Miller.
Often, the land speaks for itself. A storm overtaking a mountain range. Vines reclaiming the decrepit remains of a forgotten building. The land endures, and in its enduring, it sings. We invite you to submit a moment where the land sang its own song. We’re looking for images that capture the land’s persistence — its resilience and refusal to be silenced. We are especially interested in an expansive view of “landscape” — landscapes that endure against all odds, whether that comes across through nature’s persistence against humanity, through surviving harsh environment, or simply through a moment where the landscape refused to go unnoticed.
This exhibition will show us that nature’s song deserves accompaniment. Along with the work on the gallery walls, we will also have live performative art in the gallery from musicians and writers, who’s performative pieces will echo and respond to the visual works on display.
Submission Fees:
Up to 5 images – $40
Up to 10 images – $60
Supporting LightBox Members receive half off of regular submission fees.
Associate LightBox Members may submit at no cost.
