My upbringing in an industrial city (Providence, R.I.), interest in abstract expressionism, and career as a firefighter are the main influences on the way I see my environment. Most of my photography takes place in urban and industrial surroundings, or with objects gathered in these areas and later composed in studio. I’m interested in capturing the compositions that manifests when human made materials, action, and/or nature interact. Eternal II is part of the Eternal series which was a one-year photographic study of the changing contents of a manufacturer’s dumpster.
