Night Surge
When first coming to a place I've been many times or have never visited, hesitation sets in. As abstract painter Zao Wou Ki asks" Why carry on? Always the same problems. Always the same questions." What can I find today? What is the feeling and spirit? Nature has a long, unimaginable history. So many gifts of our natural world; solitude, smallness, thankfulness, wonder. Gifts can be brought back or captured and shared with others, as one might return with a shell or a feather. For me, it is invariability sharing this gift of place; the fullness of spring, the stark beauty of winter.
