Platinum Print Festival & Alternative Process Exhibit
We are happy to finally be having warm and sunny weather here in Astoria and just in time for our Platinum Print Festival at the gallery. Please join us Saturday, August 14th from 5-9 p.m., for the opening of the biggest show of the summer, with over 100 Platinum and Alternative process images from over 25 Photographers from around the country, as well as a few international entries. Ray Bidegain is our featured artist and serves as juror for the Platinum Print Festival. Please join us for the artists reception and meet many of the photographers. We look forward to seeing you there. Please stop by the gallery at some point during the show to see these fine images if you cannot attend the opening. First Aniversary
LightBox is looking forward to our 1st anniversary celebration at our opening on Saturday June 12th. We invite everyone who has enjoyed the gallery over the past year to come and celebrate with us!
We will be featuring the opening of two amazing shows. First, we are displaying the classic traditional B&W master John Wimberley, and a collection of his work from the last 30+ years.
Second will be our PLASTIC FANTASTIC SHOW, featuring images from plastic toy cameras, such as the reknown Holga and Diana, among others. Entrees from all over the United States as well as Sweden, Australia, Great Britain and Canada. Juror Lauren Henkin has picked 50 images from over 332 submittals, as well as 10 LightBox selected Gallery Choice images to display with the show. We hope everyone will come join us in our celebration, meet the photographers and enjoy our most eventful opening yet.
