Night photography is probably what I'm most interested in right now. I enjoy the calmness, solitude and slow pace of night photography. But more importantly, nighttime lends a photographic shortcut to an emotional response. Things look different at night. Nighttime is moody and viewers respond to images brought back from the night, made while they're safely asleep. Interesting things happen and interesting people are around at night. The people I've encountered at night have led me to explore people photography, with an eye toward including interesting night people in my night work. But people are interesting at all times, so I'm always looking to make photographs of them.
