Maya Trysil - Here in the Pacific Northwest mysterious worlds exist beneath the sea and in the vast wilderness of the Cascade mountains. Storm after storm blows inland to sculpt the trees and carve into the land. It is a wild place..... perfect for artists! My art is an expression of spirit and a reflection of the natural world. The beauty and unique ecology of the Columbia River Gorge and the Oregon coast are particular sources of inspiration for me. I try to capture the illusive light of this land and its powerful elements in my work. My dreams and personal vision provide a mythic dimension. I celebrate the wild all around us and inside us! maya
