DeAnna Foran - Shade Netting - 7 x 6 7-8 on 8.5 x 11 - Pigment Ink Print - $75
My photographs are carefully composed.
I’ve chosen the medium of black & white photography to express myself.
I use blur to elicit an emotion if I need to.
I choose what is to be in the frame, or not.
I post-process in PhotoShop, whether I’ve shot film or digital.
The photographs I make are not documentary photographs.
They are not technically perfect.
They are pieces of art.
And I am a fine-art photographer.
I enjoy the thrill of looking at something long and hard to understand it.
Using my intuition helps me to “see” things.
I do not pre-plan my shots.
Being present in the moment is a sort of meditation.
The camera is my guide.
I seek the peaceful beauty of natural order.
I look for metaphors as explanations.
I strive for balance and harmony, movement and rhythm, and design.
I pursue light and shadow.
I am an explorer.

THE SAME SHOW THAT EVERYONE ELSE SEES.
HE, HOWEVER, STOPS TO WATCH IT.
